InnoBus: Innovation and Business Cooperation Project 2011-2014

The specific objectives of the project are the following:

  1. Enlarging the cooperation between Universities in educational and R&D fields by introducing the new products and services and enlarging the number of cooperating universities other EU and Russia regions.
  2. Improving the support and development possibilities for the innovative companies from the cooperating regions by implementing the tailor made new products and services activating the possibilities on internationalisation the businesses.

  3. Stimulating the conventional companies to entry to modernisation process by providing specially designed new products and services in combination with professional consulting services.
  4. Developing the basics for innovative services on g2b and g2c levels on cross-border regions supporting the internationalisation processes both for innovative and conventional companies.
  5. Insuring the sustainability of the regional cooperation by expanding the information dissemination in the “capital” regions and influencing to EU-Russian Innovation Cooperation (ERICO) from “bottom to up”.

The Project is realized in the period July 2011 – July 2014 by 14 project partners with Lappeenranta Innovation Ltd. as a Lead Partner.

Main outputs of the project are the following:

  1. During the project the large group of experts will be trained to serve the beneficiaries of the project after the end of project cycle.
  2. Number of products and services for Universities will be developed and tested. The new cooperation and communication platform will be designed. Number of universities, involved to cooperation, is enlarged.
  3. Essential number of companies will be served during the project realisation period. The companies will get the necessary consulting, advising and coaching assistance from the trained pool of experts.
  4. The cooperating regions will get the intensive promotion to the capital regions in order to promote its experiences obtaining the additional resources and support for future development.
  5. Two e-services will be designed and piloted providing the most asked services from regional governments for entrepreneurs and citizens acting and living in cross-border regions.
  6. Number of products will be developed and piloted during the project realisation period and will be available for the companies and organisations after the project completed.
  7. The concept of European-Russian Innovation Corridor (ERICO) will be worked out, précised, promoted and presented to the policy makers as the model for European-Russian innovation cooperation.

On September, 28, a kick-off seminar of the Project was held in the framework of the IV Petersburg International Innovation Forum. During the seminar the project partners and the working packages were introduced. A Memorandum of understanding between the leading project partners was signed.
